When a father buttons his coat, he can count on his young son asking, ‘Can I go, too?’

If a man plays basketball, his son might be in the stands, cheering and waiting to shoot hoops with Dad after the game.

Dance is no different.

This year, a father and a son will dance in the BalletMet Columbus production of The Nutcracker, which opens Friday at the Ohio Theatre. Jimmy Orrante, a BalletMet mainstay, will share the stage with his 8-year-old son, Isaac.
