Teddy Adams, 10, will dance in Carpe Diem Ballet's Coppelia (Lynn News) 2014[King’s Lynn, Norfolk, England] – A 10-year-old ballet dancer from Lynn took up the opportunity to dance on the London stage with a national theatre company on Saturday night, starring in a production of Coppelia.

Last year Teddy Adams, who has been dancing with Footlights Performing Arts since he was around two-and-a-half, performed with the Carpe Diem ballet company in The Nutcracker. His mother, Charlie Adams, said: “This year he was delighted to be invited back by them to dance in Coppelia which he has thoroughly enjoyed. “This has meant an enormous commitment on his part because he has had to be up at 5am every Sunday since April, to rehearse for between three and seven hours in Kent.”

The show took place on Saturday night at the Greenwood Theatre on the Southbank.Charlie added: “Teddy smiled throughout the whole show and danced as a gipsy villager. His role involved dancing the rascal element which he thoroughly enjoyed! His grin from ear to ear was certainly a give away to us all in the audience that he was loving the experience.”

She added: “Teddy currently studies ballet, jazz, contemporary, drama, tap, singing and thrives when he has the opportunity to perform. His dream is one day to dance for a living.”
