[Shaftesbury, Dorset, England] – Two young dancers who train at a local dance studio in Shaftesbury have successfully achieved distinctions (Gold) in their R.A.D. Classical ballet exams. Nine year old William Stokes and Mackenzie Jacob, 12, passed their Grade 2 and 4 with a Gold medal, just a year after both passing their Grade 1 and 3 exams with Gold.
The boys, who are sponsored by local solicitors, Farnfields, train at TLW DANCE (Shaftesbury) and are part of the school’s renowned dance programme. This involves taking between four and eight dance classes a week, in various different styles, including technique, ballet, jazz, acrobatic arts, tap and contemporary. Both boys are on their second year of funding from Farnfields after the company agreed to continue sponsoring TLW Dance.
Fiona Thomas, managing partner at Farnfields Solicitors says, “It is wonderful to see how the boys are progressing with their dancing and the success of the school itself. Their dedication and hard work is certainly paying off and we congratulate the boys for their achievements to date. We are very pleased to have been able to support TLW Dance, they are a great example of a local organisation working hard to support children by providing superb facilities with truly committed teachers. Tiffany and Lynne (Founders) are an inspiration and we wish them continued success.”
Tiffany Longley-Wolff, Principal of TLW Dance said, “These are two very talented and dedicated young dancers, who have been given extra opportunities because of the generous sponsorship provided by Farnfields. We are all incredibly proud of their achievements and are truly grateful for the support we have been given by Farnfields.”
